Mitchell was the Texoma Excellence in Fine Arts Scholarship winner, earning a $1,000 scholarship for his outstanding achievements!
Mitchell is a disciplined and passionate visual artist with a strong focus on oil painting and photography. He has pursued art from a young age and has continued refining his talents through formal training at the Goddard Center, as well as through his middle and high school art programs.
His dedication and talent have earned him recognition at the Anadarko Monster Chalk Art Competition in both 2023 and 2025, and he was named Ardmoreβs Top Art Student during his freshman year. Known for his incredible work ethic and versatility across multiple mediums, Mitchell is always pushing himself to grow. He is also a generous leader among his peers, frequently helping other students build their skills and confidence.
Here at school, Mitchell lends his creativity to designing signs, posters, and backdrops for major events. Beyond campus, he supports Oklahomaβs Youth and Government program with his photography and design talents.
Mitchell plans to attend the University of Oklahoma to study Graphic Design or Visual Communications, pursuing a career that blends creativity, design, and communication.

Ardmore City Schools will transition all Ardmore Middle School students and staff to virtual learning on Tuesday, February 17, following repairs related to a water leak on campus.
As repairs are made, water service to Ardmore Middle School will be shut off beginning at 3:30 p.m. today.
Out of an abundance of caution and in coordination with district officials, all Ardmore Middle School students will participate in virtual learning on Tuesday.
Students should check in for attendance through Google Classroom and may communicate with their teachers throughout the day via ROOMS.
Extracurricular Activities:A coach or sponsor of all extracurricular activities will contact students directly through ROOMS with specific practice times and details.
An update regarding school on Wednesday will be shared by 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Thank you for your understanding and continued support as we prioritize the safety of our students and staff.

After announcing the 2026 ACS graduation ceremony date in early November, feedback from students, parents, and staff indicated that the originally scheduled Tuesday ceremony conflicted with another graduation and was not the most accessible option for many families. In response, district leaders carefully reviewed this feedback and finalized a new date and rain plan to better serve our students, staff, and families.
