Science state testing for all juniors will take place on Wednesday, April 15th. Testing will begin at 8:00 am. Once testing begins, students will not be admitted into the room. This test is required to meet graduation requirements. Students should be completed by 11 am. SOTC is aware of testing and will excuse students to test.

We are diligently working to get our students and staff back in person at Ardmore High School. While where we stand today may feel frustrating, please know that progress is being made.
We received confirmation yesterday that all 33 units must be repaired. In order to complete these repairs, parts were ordered once they were approved by our insurance this afternoon. Although the air quality in our school remains acceptable, we currently do not have working A/C units on one entire geothermal loop that supports these 33 units. This creates unsafe conditions in portions of the building outside of the front office.
Our top priority is ensuring that students and staff return only when it is safe to do so. Please know that we are working hard and advocating daily to make this happen as quickly as possible.
At this time, Ardmore High School students and staff will remain in a virtual setting through Thursday, April 9. There will be no school for students on Friday, April 10.
We hope to provide a more detailed update regarding repairs by Thursday, April 9.

Dear Tiger Family,
As you know, demolition at AHS began this week, and we have already made significant progress. Five of the ten initially affected classrooms have been demoed, and crews will refuel generators on Sunday to resume work on Monday.
We are also continuing disinfection efforts on desks, chairs, and other classroom materials to help ensure a safe environment moving forward. At this time, the southeast quadrant of the building will remain closed while this work continues.
Unfortunately, we experienced a setback with another break in the geothermal system. This issue occurred in the northwest quadrant of the building, on the opposite side from previous concerns, and has resulted in over half of our AC units being inoperable. As of 4:00 PM today, 33 units are down. Fortunately, the issue was identified quickly, minimizing damage, and repairs are scheduled to begin next week.
On a positive note, recent air quality testing indicates acceptable air quality throughout the building.
Ardmore City Schools is actively working on a return to learning plan to safely bring students back to campus. This includes preparing classrooms and maintaining a safe environment while construction continues.
Please note the following important updates:
➡️ AHS students and staff will remain virtual next week (March 30-April 2).
➡️ The Ardmore High School front office will reopen on Monday, March 30, 2026. This area is on a separate system, allowing staff to safely serve families and the public.
