ARDMORE, Okla. — Ardmore City Schools athletic facilities will be closed from June 27 through July 5 in observance of the Oklahoma Secondary School Activities Association (OSSAA) Dead Week.

Dead Week is an annual statewide period during which athletic activities are paused, allowing student-athletes, coaches, and their families an opportunity to step away from the demands of competition and training. During this time, school athletic facilities remain closed and no organized team activities are permitted.

The break serves as an important opportunity for students and staff to rest, recharge, and spend quality time with family and friends before preparations begin for the upcoming school year and athletic seasons.

Ardmore City Schools officials encourage all athletes to take advantage of the downtime and return refreshed and ready for another successful year of Tiger athletics.

Athletic facilities will reopen following the conclusion of Dead Week on July 5, and teams will resume summer activities in accordance with OSSAA guidelines.

For additional information regarding OSSAA Dead Week policies, families are encouraged to contact their coach or the Ardmore City Schools Athletic Department.
